What is your Festive Present?
As we approach the holiday season, people are beginning to think of what gifts to get for their loved ones, partners, colleagues, and neighbors.
One can only imagine what a thoughtful boyfriend might choose for his princess. Undoubtedly, jewelry is a great choice and perfect gift.
When shopping in the mall, he sees a variety of jewelry and accessories arranged in a decorative box, with an eye-catching design and illuminated by a spotlight.
He dreams of his girlfriend wearing them, and becoming a beautiful princess, and they will be joyous forever.
On Christmas day, he places a luxurious bag on the table.
His girlfriend has a huge smile on her face as she takes out a stylish, high-end box with an elegant wrap. When she opens it, she finds a stunning tanzanite stonestone bracelet.
She is feeling like she's the happiest girl in the world.
At least at that moment...
Then they take a photo and post it onto the social media.
At dinner, this couple start some conversation, but the main focus is on how many 'likes' they have gained on social media.
Their friends are leaving comments and they enjoy responding to them - social media has taken over the pleasant dinner time
This is how the evening is spent…..
The holiday season has ended and everything has returned to its ordinary state.
A luxurious piece of jewelry no longer appears luxurious; it had a fancy gift box and a paper bag which made it look extraordinary, but now it is plain and has lost its gleam.
Now the jewellery looks naked and has lost it’s shine.
It has been placed in the girl's room among the other accessories, giving the impression that it is just another piece of jewelry and comes across as inexpensive.
Do you know why? This is due to the decoration, the gift box, packaging, and materials. It makes a present look very impressive. However, when it is unpacked, it is just a regular item. We are all familiar with this concept in the business world, right?
Every fancy product is about package and presentation, Without the package, it’s just nothing. Or I can say, its not attractive enough to spend money on it.
What do you think is the most significant thing for you in the festive period?
Receiving presents?
Showcasing all your presents on social media?
and Drinking and parting all night?
Festive season is a great moment for you and your special someone to be in the now.
I like the term Present,
it can be a gift,
and it can mean in the moment, be here and now
and it can be simply existing in the world.
Festive Presents, in another sense, is inviting everyone to be present, to be with their beloved.
What is your plan to greet the New Year?
Make sure to be present, and you will find there is no reason to look back with regrets or ahead with worry.
